  • How do I care for my Cutting Board?
Your cutting board will become a cherished part of your family for years to come. There are a few steps to keep your board looking great and a few things to avoid. DO NOT put in the dishwasher, microwave or soak in water. DO NOT scrub with steel wool or other abrasive material as this will remove the conditioning oil. DO NOT recondition with anything but food grade mineral oil. Cooking oils will turn rancid and give off an odor. Care: 1. After each use, wash with warm or hot soapy water. Make sure you wash both sides to keep board from warping. 2. Dry with a lint free cloth and set up on edge to let board dry from all sides. 3. Your board will need to be conditioned every few months (more often based on usage). Conditioning oil made for cutting boards can be purchased at most stores that has a kitchen department. Oil will soak into board better if it is warmed before rubbing into board. 4. If your cutting board retains any odors, there are some natural remedies to help eliminate the odor. Cut a lemon in half and rub into board. Let sit for 20 minutes and wipe clean. You can also use salt, baking soda and vinegar
